EVOLUTION DML SHW
The EVOLUTION DML SHW Multimedia Language Laboratory, with the EDUTRONIC iMDR virtual recorder software installed on the teacher and students computers, is one of the most powerful Multimedia Language Labs on the world market. It can be supplied in the SHW and SW versions according to the available budget and requested performances.

The teacher has at her/his disposal a Computer dedicated to the system control, on which the EVOLUTION system control software is installed, an Auxiliary Computer and a professional headset.

EVOLUTION DML Master Console 

 

Besides, the Master Console is integrated with the EVOLUTION Master Unit, to which all the other lab units and the Audio and Video program sources are connected. This small unit can be integrated –or not - inside the master console furniture.

EVOLUTION Master Unit 

 

Each student has at her/his disposal a Computer, on which the iMDR Digital Virtual recorder software is installed, a professional headset and a STEREO Audio Amplifier. This Amplifier has a sealed keyboard on which the digital volume controls for the separated volume control of the “Student channel” and of the “Master Channel” are placed, together with several others keys for the teacher call, for the MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST participation etc. Besides, several very useful light indicators are placed on this keyboard as well.

The system can be configured with 1 computer per student or with one computer shared by two students.

EVOLUTION DML SHW is equipped with several others hardware interfaces and software packages developed by Edutronic and that are needed for the system functionality

EVOLUTION student STEREO amplifier 

 

In the SHW most typical configuration, this system offers all the “typical” and “classic” functions of the top performances multimedia language laboratories plus dozens of other unique, innovative, extremely useful functions, such:
possibility to divide the class in 6 groups,
  • distribution of 4 audio programs + 1 video program in the meantime to 5 groups,
  • 4 contemporaneousCONFERENCE groups,
  • 4 contemporaneous, separated, INTERPRETING groups,
  • "conference room" function,
  • 4 contemporaneous Audio-Active groups,
  • 4 contemporaneous Audio-Active–Comparative groups,
  • 2 FREE groups,
  • MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST possibility,
  • Video/Keyboard/Mouse exchange possibilities between the teacher and the students and among the students etc.,
  • possibility to enable the PAIRING function,
  • possibility to enable the “Headset splitting” function,
  • possibility to enable the STEREO function,
  • possibility for the teacher to discretely monitor a student activity, to talk to single students, groups, class, to enable a student to be “model” for other students/groups/class etc
  • “LAN INTERACTION” functions with:
    • file transfer between the teacher and the students and vice-versa,
    • remote programs opening on the students computers, selective programs disabling possibility, shutting down programs,
    • students computers remote turn on/restart/turn off,
    • “macro functions”, etc.
 
It is important to underline that this system has the EDUTRONIC unique and extremely important possibility to enable the video exchange functions (that is the “teacher video broadcast to a student/group/class” function, the “student activity discrete monitoring” function, the “student to group/class” function) in two alternative ways: through a Software solution or through a Hardware solution. In this way the teacher can handle these extremely important functions in the most suitable ways in all the situations. Besides, the teacher can remote control the students EDUTRONIC iMDR Virtual Recorders in ALL their functions and can control on the teacher monitor, in real time, ALL the functions in progress on ALL the students iMDR Virtual recorders. These UNIQUE and extremely useful functions are available thanks to the total interaction between the system control software and the EDUTRONIC iMDR Virtual recorder software installed in all the students computers.

This system offers as well the possibility to send “live”, full screen, video programs - like for example films, live “news” received by a satellite receiver connected to the system - to the students. In addition, in this system the teacher can select a student and can discretely monitor the student activity, even if the student is following at his own peace a full screen “live video program” generated by his computer DVD or WINDOWS Media Player.

 

 

EVOLUTION DML SW 

 

The EVOLUTION DML SW Multimedia Language Laboratory is a simpler – and cheaper – version of the EVOLUTION DML SHW system and it offers all the functions indicated for this system in the relative section, but it DOESN’T offer the possibility for the teacher to send “live”, full screen video programs to the students and the teacher can not discretely monitor a student activity when this student is following "live" video programs (films, documentaries etc.) generated by the student computer DVD (or media Player).

In this system the “live” video programs transmission to the students – if needed – can be carried out using a video projection system integrated in the lab.
